Radical ABC

As you are reading through the Bible this year, you may come across passages, verses, names, or other aspects of the Bible that are hard to understand. Today, we are launching a new feature of the Radical Experiment that will allow you to submit questions and receive answers from a growing team of pastors and elders from our church, headed up by Pastor Mike Smith, who has a Master’s degree in Christian Apologetics.

The way to use this new feature is simple: E-mail read@radicalabc.com with any question you might have.

We will be implementing an on-site ability to ask these questions in the coming weeks, but for now, e-mailing will be perfectly effective.

Many individuals have asked if we can put up a schedule of Pastor Tom’s preaching and a comparable reading plan to coincide with the next 52 Sundays. The actual schedule can be found here. You might notice that there are no chapters or verses; that’s because he will be preaching topically and chronologically through the characters and major topics of the Bible. We recommend a chronological reading plan, either found in Chronological Bibles or online reading plans that can be found under the Read page.

As for site updates, RadicalABC.com is constantly in development, and we’re working hard to make the website as easy to use as possible and as accessible as it can be across all computers and devices. Today we updated the videos to work across all iOS devices running iOS 5 and above. Unfortunately, anything before iOS 5 will not work. We are currently looking into solutions for this, but highly recommend you upgrade your device. This will be the same for future videos we release, so having your phone or tablet up to date is definitely a plus.

Several Wednesdays ago, a group of young women from ABC’s Highlife youth group announced that they would be beginning a project to raise $2,000 for Food 4 Africa, a program dedicated to fighting poverty, starvation, and preventable death in Africa. They decided that they wanted to work towards the Sacrifice step, to give their money towards a specific cause. Over the last few weeks and specifically during the Awaken Conference, this group of young women successfully raised the $2,000. Remarkably, this amount is being matched and exceeded by several outside donors, to make this $2,000 actually become $10,000 for Food 4 Africa.

This is just an example of some of the amazing things that God is doing already through the lives and obedience of His children living radically. 1. Register. This will take only moments and you will be able to instantly begin posting on our online Community.
2. Once you have registered, feel free to connect your profile with your Facebook and/or Twitter. You can do this by using the menu bar at the very top of the screen. Select My Account > Settings > Facebook/Twitter. Follow the appropriate links to connect your profiles.
3. To send posts from your RadicalABC.com account to Facebook or Twitter, click the Facebook or Twitter buttons when you are writing. This will add #facebook and #twitter tags and automatically forward your post to your other social networks. Also, once you have linked your accounts, you can use #radicalabc to send your posts from the other sites back to the stream here.
4. You can also change your profile picture, add friends, and view personal messages from the My Account drop-down menu.
